I’m pleased to be applying for the position of Digital Communications Specialist at Westridge School. With 8+ years of experience working in marketing, photography and email communications, I would love the opportunity to take on this role at your school. I am currently the Director of Marketing at another local all-girls school, Alverno Heights Academy. Previous to this role, I was the Marketing Associate at Crespi Carmelite all-boys high school in Encino. Prior to that I created my own photography company, working with a variety of clients and also served as a Marketing Associate at AEG.

What draws me most to your school is your dedication to an all-girls education and your independent philosophy. This is something I so deeply believe in. I am very familiar with a high school environment and would love to be a part of yours. While at Alverno I also served as the Media Arts teacher, Yearbook Teacher, Student Council moderator and Soccer coach. I understand the inner workings of a school community, from activities to academics.

I created print and social media marketing campaigns, organized photo shoots, created hype videos for our sports teams, recorded promo videos for theater shows and developed alumnae campaigns to increase social media engagement. I worked with our Advancement department on all alumnae communications, fundraising events and our annual report/alumnae magazine. I send out the weekly parent communication via Constant Contact and maintain our numerous contact lists. In addition, I created and scheduled advertisements on social media, created graphics for events and assisted in posting to a variety of social media sites daily. I am well versed in google forms, surveys and website functionality.

In each of my previous positions, I helped create effective visual stories with photos and videos used for marketing campaigns, advertisements and website content. As a photographer for the past 12 years, I developed brand strategy through visuals for a variety of clients in sports and entertainment. I am fluent in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Google applications, Constant Contact and Canva (graphic design). I am a quick learner and familiar with a variety of software, website framework and new technologies.

As your Digital Communications Specialist, it will be my mission to share all the things that make Westridge special, like your forward thinking programs. I will work day in and day out to ensure your mission is visible in every photo, every post and every video. I have some great ideas I would love to share with your team to further engage your community, increase visibility, continue to increase admissions and spotlight why Westridge is the best choice for young women.
